(A.D. 1416-1481): Kek Kuan, Mae Qiu. He was a native of Wenchang, Hainan. He was a politician and scholar in the Ming Dynasty. He served as a government official for more than 20 years, and was appointed as the imperial inspector of Sichuan, the governor of Taizhou, Zhejiang, the left counsellor of the Chief Secretary of Zhejiang, the right legitimate imperial inspector, and the left legitimate imperial inspector (the fourth rank) of the Imperial Household Inspectorate. Xing Yu's life was bright and upright for the country and the people, and he had a great deal to do in politics and high attainments in learning. He was very fond of reading and writing in his life, and he also had some research on calligraphy. His writings have been handed down in the Maechu Collection, which had a great influence on the development of Hainan culture. Zhang Yuesong, a scout of Hainan in the Qing Dynasty, regarded him as one of the Three Wise Men of Hainan together with Hai Rui and Qiu Jun.
Qiu Joon
(1421 AD~1495 AD) He was a native of Qiongshan, Hainan. He was a famous scholar, politician and economist in the Middle Ages, and was the author of "Supplement to the Derivation of the University" and other works. Zhong Fang

Hai Rui

Served as county, state magistrate, Minister of households (second grade, equivalent to the current Ministry of Finance and Minister of Civil Affairs), Minister of war (second grade, equivalent to the current Minister of Defense), the Minister of Shangshu, the Right Commander of the Imperial Household and so on, and then resigned to live in idleness. After his death, he was honored with the title of Prince Shaobao. His life is upright, known as "South Bao Gong", "sea green sky", known as one of the four great talents of Hainan.
Wang Hongzhi
(1541 AD ~ 1617 AD) Ding'an, Hainan, Ming Dynasty minister and educator. He was a scholar and educator in the Ming Dynasty. He served as a scholar of the Imperial College, a reviewer of the Hanlin Academy, a compiler, a co-examiner of the Imperial Examination, a scholar of the State Prince's Court, the right minister of the Ministry of History, the minister of the Ministry of Ceremonies (the second rank, equivalent to the present Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education and Minister of Foreign Affairs), and was awarded the title of Prince Shao-guo (from the first rank) after his death. He became a family in literary excellence, authored "Shang You Tang Draft", "Wu Yue Travels", "Tian Ji Grass", "Lai He Xuan Collection", "Nan Ming Qidian Records", "Nan Li Zuozhi", "Texts and Writings", and other masterpieces. He served as Minister of Rites, see the corruption of the Ming court, he several times constantly on the疏advise and admonish the court of the great disease.
