In principle, students studying abroad need to hold a student visa to study abroad. 2. After graduation from an Italian university, a certificate cannot be issued temporarily. Only a temporary certification letter is available. Can it be authenticated?

If students studying in Italy have not yet been awarded a degree certificate, but they hold a degree-granting certificate issued by an Italian institution that is equivalent to the degree certificate, they can submit an application for certification accordingly. In addition to certifying regular application materials, applicants are also required to submit a letter proving that they meet the requirements.

Please note that the certification letter should be specially issued by the institution’s registration or academic affairs department, and must bear the signature of the institution or person in charge (including electronic signature); the content should include the applicant’s name, applicant’s The degree obtained, the major studied, the time when the degree was obtained (or the time when the graduation examination was passed), etc. Diploma Supplement and other materials cannot be used as certification letters.

4. What certification application materials do students in Sino-foreign cooperative education need to submit?

Graduates from Sino-foreign cooperative education should submit certificates, ID cards and authorization statements. Certification of foreign (overseas) academic degrees is a voluntary act by the applicant and is not mandatory. Applicants can submit applications based on actual needs. If applicants need to certify multiple diploma certificates, they should follow the principle of one certificate, one certification and submit the corresponding number of applications in the same account. 7. The degree certificate has not been issued yet. Can I apply for certification with a certification letter issued by the school? ?

Starting from January 1, 2023, our center will no longer accept certification applications submitted with certification letters. If it is a degree-granting certificate issued by an institution in Spain or Italy that has the same validity as a degree certificate, you must submit application materials that meet the requirements. If overseas students do not meet the certification requirements yet, but really have needs to return to their country for employment, further education, etc., they can ask the relevant employers or universities to write to our center for consultation. 8. If my degree certificate is lost, can I still apply for certification?

If the certificate is lost, you can apply to the issuing institution for a replacement certificate before submitting the certification application. If the certificate-issuing institution cannot reissue the certificate, a copy of the certificate or an official degree-granting certificate issued by the institution (usually issued by the student registration department or academic affairs department) should be provided. At the same time, applicants are also required to submit complete official transcripts during their studies.

9. If I study in country A and obtain a diploma issued by an institution in country B, can it be authenticated?

This situation belongs to a third-country diploma certificate, which means that the applicant studied in a second country (region) and was awarded a third-country (region) academic degree certificate or higher education diploma. For example, overseas students study in Malaysia (the second country) and obtain a diploma from the United Kingdom (the third country). Due to different situations in different countries, our center needs to make an assessment based on the specific situation, and the final certification result shall prevail.

10. If my passport is lost while studying abroad, how should I apply for authentication?

If the passport used during study abroad is lost, a "Declaration of Inability to Submit a Passport/Pass Pass During Study Abroad" (template, fill in and upload) and relevant materials proving the place of study are required.

11. What should I do if I cannot provide a visa for studying abroad? What should I do if the residence card I used while studying abroad has expired and been withdrawn, and I cannot submit it?

If you are unable to provide a visa/residence card that fully covers the period of study abroad, please make a note when uploading the materials. During the certification process, the staff will notify the applicant to supplement relevant supporting materials as appropriate.

12. My name has been changed during or after studying abroad. How should I fill in the application information and what materials need to be provided?

When applying for certification, you should fill in the name on the current valid ID document and complete the real-name authentication in the system. If the applicant's current name is inconsistent with the name during study abroad, the name in the household register must be supplemented when uploading materials. Change page.

13. The applicant is of Chinese nationality but does not have an ID number (overseas Chinese, canceled household registration, military personnel, etc.). How to register and apply?

Please select a foreign nationality in the system first, register with your passport, and fill out the certification application. 14. Do I need to submit transcripts when applying for academic degree certification?

Transcripts are not a required application material for certification, but the information contained in the transcripts has important reference significance for certification evaluation. In order to facilitate accurate judgment, it is recommended that applicants submit official and complete transcripts during their studies.

Please note the following situations:

1) Applicants whose study time abroad does not meet the academic requirements must provide complete transcripts or research certificates during the study period;

After the applicant has obtained the required materials, he or she can submit a review application and upload the materials at the same time. Our center will evaluate again.

If the applicant is unable to provide the required supplementary materials, he or she can upload a statement to the supplementary materials location designated by the system. If relevant substitute materials can be provided, they can also be uploaded together. 17. What should I do if I have any objection to the certification result?

If the applicant has objections to the certification results, he or she can log in to the certification system to submit an online review application within 12 months from the date of issuance of the certification results. Our center will review the certification results in accordance with the "Measures for the Certification of Foreign (Overseas) Academic Degrees" and notify the applicant of the review results after completion.

Review can only be applied for once.

If the applicant raises objection to the certification result 12 months after the issuance of the certification result, he or she must resubmit the certification application to the Service Center according to the procedures and pay the certification fee according to the certification fee standard. The Service Center may refuse to accept a second certification application if there are no substantial changes in the application materials.

18. If the professional field of study is not philosophy, why does the certificate say Doctor of Philosophy?

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is a degree title, not a doctorate in philosophy. It is the highest level in the academic framework of higher education. The so-called Doctor of Philosophy means that the holder has a considerable understanding of the theory, content and development of his or her knowledge field, can conduct independent research, and has made contributions to the academic community in this field. Therefore, the Doctor of Philosophy can be awarded to doctoral graduates in basically any discipline. Generally, after graduating from a university undergraduate (bachelor's) and/or graduate school (master's), and then conducting a considerable number of years of training, writing a graduation thesis and passing the defense, you can obtain a doctorate in philosophy.

19. Why is the major not stated on the certification certificate?

The reason why the major is not reflected on the certification is because the applicant’s degree certificate itself does not describe the major, and the applicant has not provided a transcript with major information. 20. What is the RNCP diploma issued by French private schools?

Vocational diplomas issued by French private institutions are registered and managed uniformly by the French National Commission for Vocational Qualifications Certification (CNCP). This institution has a professional National Vocational Qualification Certificate Catalog (RNCP), which contains approval information such as the name, level, and award time of diplomas issued by the school. 21. Can the Australian Level 5 diploma be equivalent to a domestic college degree?

Recipients of Level 5 diplomas in the Australian Qualifications Framework can apply to continue studying for a bachelor's degree in Australia. This diploma is not equivalent to a domestic college diploma and cannot correspond to domestic academic levels.

22. How to apply to be included in the query list of accredited colleges on the China Study Abroad Network?

The publication of the query list of accredited institutions is based on the objective presentation of accreditation data and cannot be added or modified based on the application of the institution.
