What is a computer operating system
Operating system is user-friendly, management and control of computer hardware and software resources of the system software (or collection of programs). From the user's point of view, the operating system can be seen as an expansion of computer hardware; from the point of view of human-computer interaction, the operating system is the interface between the user and the machine; from the point of view of the system structure of the computer, the operating system is a hierarchical, modular structure of the collection of programs belonging to the ordered hierarchical method, is the ordered hierarchical call of the unordered module. The operating system reflects the combination of computer technology and management technology in its design. Status of operating system in computer system: Operating system is software and it is system software. Its role in the computer system can be roughly experienced from two aspects: internally, the operating system manages the various resources of the computer system and expands the functions of the hardware; externally, the operating system provides a good human-machine interface, which is convenient for users to use the computer. It has the position of the top and bottom in the whole computer system.
