Tu Zipui, a well-known information management expert, used to live in Silicon Valley, and is now the vice president of Alibaba. He graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University and Carnegie Mellon University. Before studying in the U.S., he had worked in different departments of provincial, municipal, and county governments for 10 years, as a professional programmer, a commander of a public security border patrol boat, and a government statistician. During his time in the U.S., he served as a data warehouse programmer, data department manager, data center director, director of Asia-Pacific affairs, and principal researcher for a software company. In addition to his work and writing, he is also passionate about public welfare, and was the president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the China Association for Science and Technology in America (CASTA). He is currently the vice president of CASTA and a director of the Shanghai True Love Dream Public Welfare Foundation.
