Introduction to Guizhou Industry Polytechnic College
Guizhou Industry Polytechnic College is a public ordinary higher vocational and technical college approved and filed by the Ministry of Education, which is subordinate to the Department of Education of Guizhou Province.
The predecessor of the college is Guizhou Chemical Industry School, which was founded in 1958. In 2002, the college was upgraded to a higher vocational college by the provincial government with the name of Guizhou Science and Technology Engineering Vocational College; in 2009, the name was changed to Guizhou Industry Polytechnic College; and in 2009, the college was recognized by Guizhou Provincial Department of Education as the first batch of "Provincial Model Higher Vocational College". In 2009, it was recognized as the first batch of "Provincial Model Higher Vocational College" by Guizhou Provincial Department of Education.
The college currently has more than 13,000 students, with more than 500 teachers, 93 with senior professional and technical positions (including 8 professors), 133 with doctoral and master's degrees, 248 dual-teacher-quality teachers, and 1 provincial management expert.
The college carries out full-time education for secondary and higher vocational education, and consists of the School of Chemical and Materials Engineering, the School of Urban Construction, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Electronics and Information Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, and the Guizhou Chemical Industry School (Secondary School), which offers 38 majors in five major categories covering chemical engineering, electromechanical engineering, electronics and information, architectural engineering, and economics and management, including two majors of the State Key Construction, and two majors of the Provincial Model Key Construction. The college has more than 80 professional laboratories, including three national training bases and two provincial open training bases (open training base for analyzing and testing technology and open training base for modern chemical production technology); the college has the 44th National Occupational Skills Testing Institute of Guizhou Province, which is qualified for a variety of vocational skills training and appraisal. The college has multi-channel, multi-level schooling, opening a special type of certification training, training of hazardous chemicals practitioners, as well as correspondence specialization and correspondence undergraduate (and Beijing University of Chemical Technology jointly organized) of adult higher education.

The college continues to expand the depth and breadth of foreign exchanges, has with Canada Canadore College, South Korea's Jianyang University, Taiwan's Chaoyang University of Science and Technology, Taiwan's Chienkuo University of Science and Technology, Taiwan's Yuda University of Science and Technology and other colleges and universities to carry out the teachers and students to study each other, the cooperation and exchanges every year to send more than 20 students of good character and excellence in the exchange of overseas study, and to give scholarships to support the teachers and students, effectively expanding the international vision.

The college and Guiyang Huatang Big Data and Service Outsourcing Industry Development and Investment Co., Ltd. jointly organized the "Guizhou Institute of Industrial Vocational Technology Big Data and Service Outsourcing College", and established a 3,000-seat training base for call service industry talents, which is the province's first big data service outsourcing college.
