The school was founded in 1951, formerly known as Henan Provincial Planning and Statistics School; in June 2001, Henan Provincial Planning and Statistics School and Zhengzhou Institute of Aviation Industry and Management jointly operated the school, and set up Zhengzhou Aviation Institute of Information and Statistics Vocational College; in March 2013, with the consent of the People's Government of Henan Province, the People's Republic of China*** and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Zhengzhou Aviation Institute of Information and Statistics Vocational College was divested from Zhengzhou Aviation Industrial Management College, and set up a new college of information and statistics. Aviation Industry Management College divested and set up Henan Information and Statistics Vocational College.
