Guilin University of Electronic Technology was founded on 1960, Guilin Institute of Electronic Technology was established on 1980 with the approval of the State Council, and was renamed Guilin University of Electronic Technology in 2006. It was selected by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Guangxi * * *, National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, Guangxi * * *, and the National "Basic Capacity Building Project for Colleges and Universities in the Midwest".

The school has four campuses: Jinjiling, Liuhe Road, Huajiang and Beihai, with a total campus area of 4 153 mu. There are 7 1 undergraduate majors, 5 first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 3 post-doctoral research stations, 20 first-level disciplines authorized by master degrees, and 12 categories authorized by master degrees.

Cooperation and communication:

The school initiated the establishment of China-ASEAN Satellite Navigation International Cooperation Alliance, built five ASEAN satellite navigation international joint laboratories with ASEAN countries, built the first ASEAN multilateral cooperation Beidou precision positioning and precision measurement application demonstration system, signed a cooperation agreement with Cambodian Ministry of Labor, and established Guidian ASEAN Vocational Education Center (Beihai).

Guidian-Cambodia Vocational Education and Training Base (Phnom Penh) has training bases for students from Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries. The "Malaysia Belt and Road Digital Communication Research Center", the "Belt and Road" political, economic and cultural big data center and the Philippine Cultural Research Center will be built.

The Confucius Institute established in cooperation with Madawan University in Cambodia was officially put into operation, and a learning center for overseas Chinese was established in Kazakhstan. The school is the receiving and training unit of China government scholarship, Silk Road scholarship, special scholarship for Chinese-American students and Guangxi government scholarship for overseas students from ASEAN countries. There are Sino-foreign cooperation and exchange projects such as China-UK and China-Ireland.
