Drop Rent a Car, is another travel mode launched in the field of mobile travel by DDT after cab, special car, express car, hitchhiking, chauffeur-driven, test-driving, public transportation and enterprise, is the ninth travel business of DDT, which started testing in July 2016 in Shanghai.

On August 22, 2016, DDT confirmed that its car rental business had begun test operations in Shanghai, with online services and free door-to-door delivery and pickup mode, which gained the approval of users.

On September 9, 2016, DDT announced that it had launched a citywide car rental service in Shanghai, followed by Wuhan, Chengdu and Qingdao at the same time. On September 26, 2016, DDT Rent-A-Car announced that it is available for off-site ordering of rental cars across the country, and is available in the cities of Shanghai, Chengdu, Qingdao and Wuhan. It is expected to be extended to a number of first- and second-tier cities across the country within the year.

November 15, 2016, drop trip announced and Avis Budget Group (Avis Budget Group) reached a strategic cooperation agreement, hand in hand for China's drop users in nearly 175 countries and regions to provide overseas Avis (Avis) and Baguio (Budget) car rental services. According to DDT, the overseas car rental service is expected to be available on DDT's APP in 2016.

On Dec. 27, 2016, DDT confirmed that its car rental business was officially launched in Beijing and Shenzhen.On Jan. 4, 2017, Chinese users can rent a car abroad through the international version of DDT Rent-A-Car.
