Chongqing Finance and Economics Vocational College is a full-time public general higher vocational college which mainly specializes in finance and economics and has the qualification of independently awarding the specialized qualification of general higher education.

The school was founded in 1956, the first name of the Jiangjin area commercial workers school; in 1983 was renamed Chongqing Second Finance and Trade School; in 2007 and Chongqing Commercial Workers University merger, restructuring upgraded to ordinary higher vocational institutions, renamed Chongqing Finance and Economics Vocational College.

As of December 2020, the school covers an area of 710 acres, with a building area of 170,000 square meters and a library collection of more than 990,000 books; it has seven teaching institutions, 29 majors, and 36 professional directions; there are 506 teaching staff and 10,513 full-time higher vocational students.
