Computer operating systems should usually include the following five functional modules:
(1) Processor management: solves the problem of allocating processor (CPU) time when multiple programs are running at the same time.
(2) job management: the program to complete a separate task and the data it needs to form a job. Job management tasks are mainly for the user to provide an interface to use the computer to make it easy to run their own jobs, and all the jobs into the system for scheduling and control, as efficient as possible to utilize the resources of the entire system.
(3) memory management: for each program and its use of data allocation storage space, and to ensure that they do not interfere with each other.
(4) Device management: allocates devices based on user requests to use them, and also receives device requests (called interrupts) at any time, such as requests for input information.
(5) file management: mainly responsible for the storage, retrieval, **** enjoyment and protection of documents, to provide users with the convenience of file operations.
