On February 24, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Finance and the People's Bank of China jointly issued the "Notice on Properly Responding to the New Coronavirus Epidemic and Implementing Phased Support Policies for Housing Provident Funds."
The "Notice" mentioned that enterprises affected by the new coronavirus epidemic can apply for deferment of housing provident fund payments before June 30, 2020 in accordance with regulations. The payment period during the deferral period will be calculated continuously and will not affect the normal work of employees. Withdraw and apply for a housing provident fund loan.

Under the premise of full consultation with employees, enterprises can voluntarily pay housing provident funds before June 30, 2020. If payment is continued, the payment ratio will be determined independently; if payment is suspended, the payment time during the suspension period will be calculated continuously, which will not affect the normal withdrawal of housing provident fund and application for housing provident fund loans by employees.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development also pointed out that the people's governments of all districted cities should promptly propose specific measures for the implementation of phased support policies for housing provident funds in light of local realities and do a good job in implementation.
