In order to conquer the river, people decided to cut stones to move mountains and build dams to stop the river. People were busy all winter and spring and finally built the dam, but the next year, the river came and the dam was washed away. People moved stones again to stop the river. In this way, year after year, children and grandchildren kept blocking the river and finally built the Qi Feng Dam to stop the flood. The news reached the sky and touched Lord Yu. One day, Lord Yu came here for sightseeing and was caught in a downpour, which caused a great flood. At this time, hundreds of brave men ran to the river dam with stones regardless of the danger and reinforced the dam foundation. However, the rain did not decrease, the river rose rapidly, and the Qi Feng Dam was crumbling. Lord Yu quickly stretched out five fingers and pointed to the river. Five stone peaks immediately appeared in the river, forming five bends, which reduced the impact of the river and saved the dam. The next day, the wind and rain stopped and five wonders appeared in the river. Later, people called the village built here Wudu Town. Because there is a ferry on the river, Wudu Town is also called Wudukou, which may be the origin of the name of Wudu Village. Since then, the river banks have flourished and villages have been built everywhere. In the lower reaches of the five dams, because there is no fixed river course, the river is turbulent, and the village formed is called turbulent village; The village built on the river bank is called Hepo Village; Because of the five blocks, the place where a large area of gravel is blocked is called Shajiangkou, and the place where water is blocked is called Pingtan. The river is clear, and the place where fish and shrimp flock is called Xiyou Town. In the season when peach blossoms are in full bloom, peach blossoms always float on the river surface of Puzhu River, so people changed Puzhu River into Taojiang River and later called Taohe River.
