What do you mean, you're still strong after all kinds of hardships?
"It is still strong, and it is the wind of east, west, north and south." After countless hardships and blows, you are still strong, whether it is southeast wind in hot summer or northwest wind in cold winter.

This is a bamboo and stone poem by Zheng Xie, a painter and painter in Qing Dynasty.

The whole poem of "Bamboo Stone" is as follows: I insist that the green hills are not relaxed, and the roots are broken. After thousands of tortures and blows, it is still strong, whether it is the southeast wind or the northwest wind in winter, it can bear it and will still be tough and straight.

Literal meaning of the whole poem: bamboo never relaxes when grasping the green hills, and its roots are firmly rooted in the cracks in the rocks. After countless hardships and blows, you are still strong, no matter whether the southeast wind blows in the hot summer or the northwest wind blows in the cold winter.

Appreciation of the whole poem:

"Insist that the green hills are not relaxed and the roots are in the broken rocks", and use anthropomorphic techniques to describe the roots of bamboo scattered in the broken rocks. It is not afraid of thin soil and weak foundation, but it is like sharp teeth. Once asserted, it will not relax. "Persistence" describes its unshakable form, while "standing root" describes its aloof and aloof nature, which shows that it is deeply rooted and stable as Mount Tai. The word "original" has the meaning of pushing its roots. It is precisely because this bamboo "has roots in the broken rocks" and takes Qingshan as its home that it grows stronger and more upright. This vividly depicts the strong and tenacious character of bamboo. The second sentence not only explains the first sentence but also proves the last two sentences.

With the foreshadowing of the first two sentences, the last two sentences naturally lead to: "tempered, let the east, west, north and south winds prevail." The word "return" has both the meaning of return and the opposite meaning. In other words, if we let the wind and rain in all directions, the frost and snow freeze all year round, and sharpen and break in various ways, it will be more vigorous, straight, tenacious and unyielding. This further depicts the bold spirit of bamboo ignoring environmental pressure. This is not only the nature of bamboo, but also what poets yearn for and pursue. The poet used the words "thousand" and "ten thousand" to write the indomitable, calm and confident expression of bamboo, which can be said that the artistic conception of the whole poem suddenly emerged. When praising the tenacity of bamboo, the poet hinted at his own strength and character.
