At present, the personal credit information system established by the People's Bank of China can only query personal basic identity information and credit transaction records, but cannot reflect the criminal records of loan applicants. Public security organs with this resource are not open to providing inquiry services to banks.
Banks cannot confirm whether the loan applicant has a criminal record when approving and issuing loans, and it is difficult to take targeted preventive measures. In fact, a loan is a review of loan repayment. As long as it meets the loan conditions, it can be lent, and it is not directly related to whether there is a criminal record.
Legal basis: Article 669 of the Civil Code concludes a loan contract, and the borrower shall provide true information on the business activities and financial status related to the loan according to the requirements of the lender.
