During hospitalization in hospitals affiliated to local county (city, district) health system, medical expenses were reduced by 20%, operation expenses by 40% and bed expenses by 60%. Old rural demobilized soldiers, disabled revolutionary soldiers, and veterans who have returned to their hometowns with illness are exempt from registration fees, treatment fees and injection fees when they see a doctor in a hospital affiliated to the local health system.
Servicemen who die in any of the following circumstances shall be approved as martyrs:
(a) died in combat against the enemy, or died of injuries caused by combat against the enemy before the end of medical treatment;
(2) Being killed by an enemy or a criminal while performing a task, or not being killed by the enemy or tortured to death after being captured;
(three) to save and protect state property, people's lives and property, or to perform anti-terrorist tasks and deal with emergencies;
(4) Death due to military exercises, combat readiness flight, airborne and missile launching training, flight test and participation in scientific research and test of weapons and equipment;
(five) died in the execution of diplomatic missions sent by the state or foreign aid and international peacekeeping missions;
(six) other circumstances in which the death is particularly prominent and can be regarded as a model.
