Housing provident fund loans can change borrowers.

Provisions on the change of borrower: During the period of provident fund loan, if the borrower is divorced or dies, the borrower may be changed with the approval of the Center.

If the borrower changes due to divorce, it is required to provide the Application Form for Change of Individual Housing Provident Fund Loan Contract, divorce certificate, notarized property division agreement or divorce judgment (mediation) issued by the court, the changed borrower's identity certificate, and written proof that the insurance company or guarantee company agrees to change.

If the borrower changes due to death, it is required to provide the Application Form for Change of Individual Housing Provident Fund Loan Contract, the medical death certificate or death cancellation certificate issued by the public security organ or the judgment of the court declaring death, the notarized house inheritance certificate, the changed borrower's identity certificate, and the written certificate that the insurance company or guarantee company agrees to change.

Procedures: The applicant submits an application to the original provident fund loan office with the above materials, and the office will comprehensively evaluate the repayment ability of the changed borrower. After examination and approval, both parties re-sign the loan contract, and the original loan contract is automatically terminated.

If the mortgagor and the borrower are the same person, the mortgagor will change accordingly with the change of the borrower.
