1. If the bank-guaranteed loan cannot be repaid at maturity, the guarantor shall bear the following consequences:
(1) Loan penalty interest. After the bank loans overdue, the penalty interest and liquidated damages are very high, and the repayment pressure of the repayment person and guarantor will increase;
(2) Bank collection. After loans overdue, if you can't contact the borrower or the borrower doesn't repay, you will find a guarantor to repay, and the guarantor may receive a collection call every day;
(3) affecting credit information. If loans overdue, the credit information of both the borrower and the guarantor will be affected, and it will be more difficult to apply for a loan in the bank later;
(4) being sued by the bank. If the loan is not repaid, the court will require compulsory auction of all the property of the borrower and guarantor.
2. Legal basis: Article 394th of the Civil Code of People's Republic of China (PRC).
In order to ensure the performance of the debt, if the debtor or a third party does not transfer the possession of the property and mortgages the property to the creditor, if the debtor fails to perform the due debt or realize the mortgage according to the agreement of the parties, the creditor has the right to be compensated in priority for the property.
The debtor or the third party specified in the preceding paragraph is the mortgagor, the creditor is the mortgagee, and the property that provides guarantee is the mortgaged property.

The time to freeze the bank card after the guarantor is sued depends on the situation:
1. If the lawsuit is not preserved, the bank account shall be frozen after the judgment is applied for effective execution. It usually takes about 6 months;
2. Where the creditor applies to the people's court for property preservation before litigation or during litigation, the people's court shall freeze the debtor's account within 48 hours after accepting the application for property preservation.
