Lhasa Gongga International Airport was opened to traffic on June 23rd 1966, 165438, and the first phase expansion project was completed on June 23rd 1993. In 2004, the second phase expansion project was completed. On June 24, 2008, the navigation aid lighting project of Lhasa Gongga International Airport officially passed the industry completion acceptance.
