Mohan Port in Mengla County, Xishuangbanna is the only national land port from China to Laos. Mohan Economic Development Zone was established in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province in 2006. After the implementation of the "integration of districts and towns" reform, Mohan Town was placed under the jurisdiction of Mohan Economic Development Zone, and the park area increased from 98 square kilometers to 803 square kilometers, and the population increased from 08,200 to 27,500.
With the acceleration of trade circulation, import and export companies are also facing higher challenges in capital turnover. It is difficult for border trade import and export companies to get loans, and the key is the lack of collateral. The import and export companies at Mohan Port are generally light asset company, and their main assets are inventory, such as timber, minerals and even fruits, and they lack fixed assets that can be mortgaged. At the initiative of the government, banks also try to develop financing products that meet the needs of import and export companies at border ports, such as export tax rebate financing business. Because of the troublesome operation process and long cycle, both banks and customers have limited interest.
