Can the provident fund loan two houses together?
The provident fund cannot loan two houses together.

Couples using housing provident fund loans to buy two suites must meet certain conditions. Most importantly, if the husband and wife have already used the provident fund loan when buying the first suite, and the loan has not been paid off, then they can't use the provident fund loan again when buying the second house. This means that even if both husband and wife have good credit status and have participated in the housing provident fund system, as long as there are outstanding housing provident fund loans, they cannot apply for the provident fund loans for the second suite. So you can't use the provident fund to borrow two houses at the same time.

Basic conditions for provident fund loans:

1. The applicant and spouse are registered in this city or hold a valid residence permit in this city;

2, the applicant and his spouse have a stable occupation and income in this city, with the ability to repay the loan principal and interest on schedule;

3. The applicant and his/her spouse have no self-owned houses in this city, or they have their own houses but have obtained the qualification to purchase houses;

4. The applicant and spouse have no bad credit records in this city;

5. The applicant and spouse have a legal purchase contract or agreement;

6. The down payment of the applicant and spouse is sufficient.

To sum up, when the husband and wife buy a second house, if the provident fund loan of the first suite has not been paid off, they can't use the provident fund loan again, so they can't use the provident fund to loan two houses at the same time.
