What are the main cultivation methods of mushrooms?
Mushroom cultivation originated in China. Before 1965, "chopping wood and cutting flowers to grow mushrooms", that is, log cultivation, also known as old-fashioned cultivation, had been popularized in China. It is characterized by inoculating natural spores and harvesting mushrooms from the sky, with low and unstable yield. Since 1965, artificial inoculation of pure mycelium culture of Lentinus edodes (Lentinus edodes strain) has been gradually popularized, which has made the production of Lentinus edodes in China gradually move towards stable and high yield. At the same time, due to the acquisition of pure mycelium culture, alternative culture came into being.

At present, the cultivation of Lentinus edodes with sawdust, bagasse, cotton stalk and other substitutes in China has developed from early brick cultivation to bag cultivation (commonly known as artificial mushroom stick cultivation or bag cultivation). Including the field bag cultivation mode originated from Gutian (Gutian mode) and the three-dimensional bag cultivation mode originated from Qingyuan (Qingyuan mode), their main differences are as follows: first, the former needs to take off the bag in time to change color when producing mushrooms, while the latter does not take off the bag when producing mushrooms; Secondly, the former is placed in a single floor in the field, and the latter is placed in an indoor multi-storey three-dimensional room or a small mushroom shed; Thirdly, the former is suitable for cultivating Pleurotus ostreatus, while the latter is suitable for cultivating Pleurotus ostreatus. Obviously, the three-dimensional bag cultivation mode has the characteristics of high quality, high yield and high efficiency, and it is a new technology for cultivating mushrooms instead of materials.

China has a vast territory and abundant climate resources. In the origin of Lentinus edodes, the temperature in summer (June to August) is mostly 25 ~ 35℃. Even mushrooms cultivated at high temperature (15 ~ 25℃) have no fresh mushrooms. The summer temperature in Changbai Mountain is mostly below 30℃, especially after beginning of autumn, and the temperature difference between day and night is more than 65438 00℃. If shading measures are supplemented, a microclimate below 25℃ can be obtained, which is an ideal environment for off-season cultivation of mushrooms. The semi-clinker border planting technique of Lentinus edodes (locally called ground planting of Lentinus edodes) created by Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County of Liaoning Province is a new three-dimensional cultivation technique of high-stalk crops of Lentinus edodes in the open field, which is developed by taking advantage of local climate and resource advantages and drawing lessons from the experience of block planting of Lentinus edodes. Mushrooms planted in the ground take the land as the carrier and the tall crops as the shade. With the unique climate resources in Northeast China, they can produce high-yield and high-quality off-season mushrooms, which makes the "northward mushroom migration to the south" a success. In Hefeng, Gucheng and other places in Hubei Province, mushrooms are produced and bagged in summer in woodland above 800 meters above sea level, and off-season cultivation of mushrooms has also been successful, laying a foundation for occupying summer (off-season) markets at home and abroad.
