Tun Town, Ethan City, Weihui City, Henan Province develops pig breeding, builds pig market and forms industrial support. There are 20 specialized pig-raising villages in the town, including over 10,000 specialized villages 10 and over 50 specialized households 1500. The average daily trading volume of live pigs in the market is10.8 million, and the average daily trading volume is10.3 million yuan, with an annual trading volume of more than 400 million yuan. Pigs are sold all over the country, and as many as 3000 people are engaged in pig trading. In order to standardize the market order, the town and village levels set charging standards, put an end to arbitrary charges, set up fair scales, severely punish weighing behavior, establish and improve the quality inspection system, and prohibit mud irrigation, water injection and sick pigs from entering the market.

The continuous development of the live pig trading market has promoted the development of the live pig industry in this town. Credit cooperatives have issued loans totaling140,000 yuan to support farmers to raise pigs. At the same time, the town carried out outdoor pig house planning to realize the orderly transformation from courtyard farming to pastoral farming.

Around the pig industry, the town is setting up a green feed factory, a cold storage factory, a segmentation factory and a meat joint factory to form an industrialized business model integrating production, processing and sales.

Animal husbandry has developed rapidly. In 2006, the number of live pigs in the whole town was 85,200, with a slaughter of152,000. The market turnover reached 226.5 million yuan, and it was recognized as the production and trading base of green pollution-free products in Henan Province.
