On June 20, Jiangxi Province’s first voluntary carbon sink alternative ecological restoration certificate awarding ceremony was held at Jinggangshan People’s Court. This ecological resource destruction case is the first judicial case in Jiangxi Province to introduce the concept of "carbon sink" and is a useful attempt at forestry carbon sink trading in Jiangxi Province.

On the issue of how to carry out ecological restoration, Jinggangshan Municipal People's Court and Jiangxi Provincial Public Resource Trading Group (Jiangxi Provincial Carbon Emissions Trading Center) actively explored and introduced the concept of "carbon sink" to guide The defendant voluntarily subscribed for 40 tons of emission reductions from the Jiangxi Province Forestry Carbon Sink Pilot Project through the Jiangxi Provincial Public Resource Trading Group (Jiangxi Provincial Carbon Emissions Trading Center) for alternative ecological restoration.

This is the first case of “carbon sink + ecological justice” in Jiangxi Province. Jiangxi Provincial Public Resource Trading Group (Jiangxi Provincial Carbon Emissions Trading Center) plays the role of a market-oriented platform for regional factors, enriches carbon sink trading scenarios and further expands the forestry industry in Jiangxi Province through the continuous expansion of "carbon sink + judicial" and other models.
